Job description / Role
• Handling full spectrum of Marine Claims on behalf of ship owners
• Negotiate and take out insurance for our fleet with underwriters, P&I Clubs, may or may not via brokers, including H&M, P&I, FD&D, WAR, LOH etc.
• Collect relevant information and documents necessary to assess a claim in accordance with the line of business.
• Monitor the progress of claims and carry out regular file reviews.
• Maintaining current knowledge of insurance guidelines and policy changes and modifications.
• Explore continuous improvement of claims handling processes through reviews and discussions in adopting best practices of the market.
• Providing other professional advice in general commercial legal issues, including charter party disputes etc.
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Minimum 2 years professional experience/ knowledge in P&I, H&M, WLH, K&R insurances
• Degree in Maritime Studies/ Maritime Law
• Excellent command of English
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good analytical skills and writing skills
• Motivated with a positive attitude & ability to work independently
• Able to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
