Job description / Role

Purpose: To provide information support and assistance to Business Stream and Sales in developing businessrelations and in growing sales revenue within defined customer groups and market segments. To be one of key drivers to ensure mapping of selected ports within region with respect to short- and long-term development.

This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager, Ships Agency. Close cooperation with Business Stream, Sales, and Operations is required.

Formal authorities:
Has the authority to act within this Functional Description and within the chart of authority as outlined in the company’s Global Integrated Management System (GIMS).

Main responsibilities:
- To collect, quality assure, compile and report cargo movement statistics and port related information to selective customers in line with customer requirements and as per agreed internal guidelines.
- To provide periodic analysis of the agreed market segments, including but not limited to fleet/customer development, vessel deployment, trade/cargo flows & market conditions.
- Monthly report on leakages and new business won based port, country, segment and account.
- To monitor market Intelligence within the industry in terms of market development, new projects, competitive activity, new customers etc.
- Act as the regional AQF (Agency Qualification Function), actively generating leads and following up with relevant Account Manager through our CRM system
- To provide regular feedback on technical, service quality and commercial issues raised by customers to the Ships Agency Manager, Customer Services Manager and Sales.
- To follow up complaints/non compliances through improvement/complaint system in place in close cooperation with Regional QHSE function
- To drive and follow up on local port mapping for ports selected by the Business Stream
- Generate consolidated leads for several ports in the region and propose how to approach each account
- Involvement in regional pricing analysis when so needed

This position will be measured against:
- Agreed AOP and KPI’s
- Work process efficiency
- Timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks

Requirements

- Formal education in business, economics, statistics or any other analytical area
- Superior computer skills including the use of Microsoft™ Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills and a very good command of the English language (oral and written).
- Experience from the marine industry, preferably ships agency operations, is seen as an advantage

Salary upto AED7,000+ standard benefits.
