Mechanical, Plumbing & Ducting Supervisor

Job description / Role

Specific Responsibilities / Functions:
• Ensures proper distribution of workforce at the right place to suit the activity deadlines as per the milestone program provided by the Construction Manager.
• Responsible to ensure that the latest approved drawings stamped ‘IFC’, duly signed by the respective discipline Engineer is used at site for construction purposes.
• Ensure all materials are installed without damage and protected once installed.
• Arrange the required tools and equipment for the site staff.
• Control of the quality of the installation in accordance with the project quality assurance plan.
• Preparation of Daily man power and work report for Engineers and Managers approval.
• Ensure that all required resources (labour, materials, plant, and drawings) are available for smooth execution of work as per the Two Weeks Look Ahead Program are available on time.
• Ensure that all personnel (direct or sub-contract) are adequately experience and training been given to enable them to carry-out their duties.
• Promote a high degree of Quality & Safety awareness through leading by example.
• Responsible to provide the daily site progress reports to Construction Manger indicating the work achieved and the works on hold with specific reasons.
• Monitor the productivity of the site staff in accordance with the targets set.
• Instruct the tradesmen on the works required and method of execution.
• Ensures that the works are tested in accordance with the inspection and test plan and the tests witnessed by the engineer
• Maintain records of the changes (Red Line mark-up) to the working drawings to enable the record drawings to be produced.
• Provide training, guidance and motivation to the site staff.
• Ensure that daily work progress as planned and communicate with the respective discipline Engineers of any additional requirements.
• Advise and assist the foreman and charge hand to follow up the progress and daily bases.

Salary:
AED 8,500 to 9,500 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Job Summary / Goals:
• Responsible for the effective management of all construction related activities in accordance with the Quality Management Systems Work Instructions.
• Responsible for the Site co-ordination of Services and the remainders of the Works.
• To provide frontline operational management of a team of site staff undertaking installation at site.
• Ensure safe working procedures are followed in accordance with the Company HSE Plan and Project HSE Plan.
• Ensure that the progress of works is in accordance with the Contract Programme.
• Ensure the works are completed on time and technically correct in accordance with the working drawings and specifications.
• Responsible for the production and implementation of necessary quality procedures and method statements for the works to be carried out along with temporary design, survey and site investigation
• Ensure progress records are maintained in a format required by the Planner.
