Merchandise Planner

Job description / Role

This opportunity is with a multi-national jewellery retail company with their office located in Dubai.

As a Merchandise Planner, you will be planning and forecasting for future merchandise buys based on historical buys, reoccurring buys and current inventory levels. Responsible for reviewing stock to sales ratios, responding to changing sales trends, and ensuring plan sales, plan markups, and plan markdowns are achieved by departments.

You will be analysing past sales figures/trends to anticipate future product and devise a merchandising plan and promotional techniques for the shop. You will be studying purchase patterns of the clients, fashion and periodic styles for predicting the product sales for the shop. You will also be liaising with the store manager(s) and interior designer(s) to ensure the products are presented to potential customers in the most attractive manner possible.

Requirements

To be successful you would ideally possess 5 Years’ of experience in the jewellery/fashion retail industry.
