Middle East Consulting Director

Job description / Role

Following impressive growth in the UK, AgilityWorks is expanding and has opened an office in Dubai. AgilityWorks provide specialist consulting services across a broad range of industries in both public and commercial sectors offering full lifecycle services from strategy to implementation. We have been working with a number of organisations in the Middle East and now require a permanent member of the team to lead and grow our operation in the region.

This role is for a skilled practitioner to support AgilityWorks as the SAP strategic partner in our focus domains. The successful individual will be a domain expert with responsibility for creating, managing and developing a team of consultants within a domain of the business. The individual takes responsibility for defining differentiated propositions and maintaining a balanced (virtual) team of consultants that can deliver against customer projects. The individual will proactively engage the AgilityWorks leadership team ensure talent management complements the business strategy and that the acquisition, utilisation and engagement of people meet the business needs. The individual will lead by example with associated team members to assure project quality, develop people and direct thought leadership.

Key responsibilities:
* Identify market opportunities in conjunction with Sales and Business Development
* Manage accounts (clients / prospects) through the pre-sales process
* Take responsibility for proposal development (including effort estimation) for domain area opportunities

Service Delivery:
* Lead large scale projects and assignments in domain of expertise
* Employ a structured business-centric approach to delivery
* Manage service delivery profitability and overall client satisfaction
* Deliver on-site and classroom training

People Development:
* Define skills requirements for domain area, providing direction and skills development to consultants operating within their practice
* Deliver appraisals and project assessments
* Take full operational responsibility for project team members

Domain Leadership:
* Be a recognised thought leader in the domain through:
* Creating whitepapers and opinion papers that demonstrate innovation and best practices
* Present at industry events and seminars
* Engaging team members within the domain in delivering regular relevant blogs
*

Knowledge Management:
* Create a rich knowledge base the domain incorporating methods, case studies, solution (business and technology) know-how
* Proactively develop a knowledge sharing environment for the capability area

Requirements

* This role will require at least 12 years' experience within a consulting role
* Experience of Sales, Service, Marketing, or Digital implementations in FMCG / CP / Manufacturing
* Experience of Commerce solutions (B2B or B2C)
* Good understanding of SAP ECC and/or SAP CRM solutions specifically sales processes and pricing; customer and material/product master data; service processes
* Industry experience and knowledge of FMCG / CP / Manufacturing processes
* Experience of workshops / blueprint / requirements gathering / solution design / testing

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:
* Bachelors or Masters degree
* Analytical & detail oriented
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels
* Ability to work with external and internal customers to ensure quality of work; professionalism and customer satisfaction
* Flexible in terms of work environment and tasks undertaken
* Mobile; comfortable with multiple client engagements and travel
* Strong team player; supports colleagues and shares knowledge
* Identifies new business opportunities through to AW management
