You will deliver assurance and advisory projects across the Group (both in Dubai and overseas) using specialist technical audit skills to provide management with an independent appraisal of risk management and governance across the Emirates Group. You will work closely with Internal Audit Managers to scope, plan and execute audits, and discuss and communicate audit results to the appropriate level of management in the business.

What do I need?

Below are some of the skills & experience we are looking for:

- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration with a CGPA of 3.5 and above
- Excellent conceptual, numerical and analytical skills
- Strong English communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Aptitude for continuous learning and independent work
- Passion to travel and interact with people from different cultures
- Candidates should hold a valid UAE passport and Khulasat Al Qaid

Since this is a graduate trainee programme, whilst some Finance/Audit experience is beneficial no formal work experience will be required since experience will be gained through a 3 phased programme along with an accounting/ finance professional qualification (e.g. CIA, ACCA, etc.)

The duration of the programme is three years and is divided into three main phases:

Phase 1: 12 months

This phase will involve an orientation and introduction to the Emirates Group and Group Internal Audit. You'll develop an understanding of audit methodology and the lifecycle of an audit. Once you're familiar with the department, you'll join one of the Big4 accounting firms (e.g. PricewaterhouseCoopers) and work in their assurance departments (external audit, internal audit, and risk). You'll be expected to study for part 1 of the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification or other accounting/ finance qualification over the duration of the secondment.

Phase 2 - 12 months

During this phase, you will be rostered on audits within the Emirates Group which would include exposure to UAE and international businesses. These audits will enable you to strengthen the financial knowledge you gained from the secondment and be able to apply your skills and review key financial processes under the guidance of team leaders on the job. You will be expected to study for part 2 of the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification or other accounting/ finance qualification over the duration of this phase to pass the exam successfully.

Phase 3 - 12 months
