Job description / Role
New Venture Geoscientist for an Oil and Gas Company in Uae
• Work within an integrated team who are responsible for all exploration and development activities of the company
• Produce maps, cross-sections and other graphical elements to support field development, exploration and business development activities
• Assist in compiling farmout documentation and presentations for technical committee and senior management presentations
• Take responsibility for the company’s GIS database, currently built within QGIS
• Extend the project and update as new information is received
• Rescale and convert maps to different coordinate systems as required
• Identify I.T. solutions or process enhancements that can improve efficiency and quality of outputs
Requirements
• Bachelor of Engineering/Science or higher in Petroleum Engineering/Geology/Geophysics
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the same role or related
• Experience in exploration and development is a must
• Must have any data room preparation / management, marketing materials preparation
• Computer skills (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, QGIS and Adobe Illustrator)
