JOB TITLE: NIGHT DRILLING SUPERVISOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The Night Drilling Supervisor will be normally on tour during the hours of 1800 to 0600; however supervises delicate & risky operations, drilling complications, and well control operations at any time.
- The duty cycle shall be 28 days on duty and 28 days off duty.
- Operations tracking and look ahead updating, preparing detailed working plans, acts, and NPT tracking.
- Supervised drilling process (sequence of operations, drilling parameters, ways of improving and optimization, etc.), casing running, cement job and LOT measuring and drifting casings, BOP pressure test, observing drilled formation on the SCE, etc.
- Logistics department cooperation and collaboration. Coordinating equipment and service company tools mob/demob to/from the field.
- Well Operation planning and optimizing - Well construction program preparation and reviewing, Time vs. Depth Preparation and reviewing.
- Monitors and analyses the work progress during drilling, well completions, and workovers. Shall take necessary instructions, advice, and measures taken from the Day Drilling Supervisor or Drilling Superintendent to resolve problems and avoid delays in the work schedule and to ensure that the requirements and the well objectives are achieved.
- Monitors well execution and delivery performance against agreed KPIs and business plans. Provides analysis and understanding of differences, and makes recommendations to address them.
- Supervises the moving of rigs schedule on and off well locations. Includes liaising with a contractor to ensure maximum safety and accurate positioning of the rig in the new location.
- Prepares Final Well Reports and ensures AAR (After Action Review) is completed for each well.
- Prepares studies and reviews that will assist in solving current operational problems, improve current operational procedures, and deliver excellence in performance delivery
- Participates in designing and/or confirming designs and specifications of drilling and associated equipment.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

- Degree in Engineering with Min. 15 years experience in the Drilling industry, out of which 5 years as an Onshore night Drilling Supervisor/drilling supervisor.
- He/ She must have exposure to drilling of horizontal wells, Well complication, and DST and must have valid IWCF level IV (Surface - Supervisor) Certification.
- He should have undergone First Aid Training and Firefighting Training. Skills in English and the local language are essential. Knowledge of HSE standards is essential.
- Preference would be given to candidates with UAE / Middle East Experience.
- Candidate must have good knowledge of the rules and regulations of Oil and Gas well drilling
