Oil Market Analyst - Refining / Downstream

Charterhouse is working with an international research and analysis consultancy that offer market intelligence to its clients in the Oil, Gas and New Market sectors. Due to expansion in the region, our client is looking for an Oil Market Analyst specialising in refining and downstream, whom will work in its recently formed Dubai office.

The Oil Market Analyst will be part of the global oil team and take a lead role in expanding the businesses refining / downstream analysis and consulting practices across the region.

This associate level role will work closely with other Oil, Gas, NGLs and New Energy experts across the companies’ international offices to provide strategic and analytical input to the research and consulting group. In conjunction, the analyst will maintain regular contact with clients and market participants to gather market information and develop business opportunities, whilst preparing reports in a timely, relevant manner.

The role will require creative thinking and independent research to fulfil the groups research and consulting mandate as well as participating in ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have exceptional numeric and analytical skills, with a track-record of 2-5 years within an in-house or consultancy team, preparing and presenting studies, research and reports in the Oil, Gas or New Markets Industry.

The incumbent will have life cycle knowledge of oil refining and downstream oil businesses, holding a relative university degree from an internationally recognised university.
