Job description / Role
An opportunity with a multinational manufacturer of construction chemicals and a leading brand globally.
The operations manager will be responsible for the manufacturing operation in the U.A.E. to steer and develop the production site to meet business strategies and objectives. Strategic responsibilities include ensuring safety on site, plant operations execution with an eye to increase plant productivity while minimizing residuals and maintain optimal inventory levels.
P&L responsibilities pertaining to budget development, cost structure development and achievement of cash-flow and production targets. Develop plans for optimizing the use of fixed assets, materials and human resources.Drive operation and continuous improvement based on lean manufacturing and six sigma
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. Master\'s Degree being an advantage
- 7-10 year\'s experience of which at least 2 years managing a production facility in a similar field. Ideally someone from a construction chemicals/adhesives/paints manufacturing background would be preferred
- Strong financial acumen and should be comfortable handling P&L
- Certified six sigma and has worked on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects
- Excellent communication skills in English
