Job description / Role
Salary: 4,000 - 4,500 AED (without UAE License), 5,000 to 6,000 AED (with License)
One of our leading and prestigious clients is in the Optical Industry in the UAE. They have been recognized time and again as the UAE’s most trusted brand of opticians with its never ending pursuit for excellence. They offer a comprehensive range of eyewear and optical services and they presently operate over 40 shops and are still planning to expand.
Due to their ever increasing need to serve their customers to the best, they are looking to hire an Optometrist.
Responsibilities:
- Communicating with patients to get detailed case histories;
- Examining the eyes of patients of all ages to detect signs of injury, disease, abnormality or vision defects;
- Being aware of signs and symptoms of general health conditions (e.g. diabetes);
- Examining eyes and fitting spectacles or contact lenses;
- Offering advice and reassurance about vision-related matters;
- Offering help and advice for patients choosing frames and lenses;
- Writing referral communications to doctors;
- Liaising with other medical practitioners and sometimes sharing the care of patients with chronic ophthalmic conditions;
- Meeting sales targets with regard to selling spectacles or contact lenses;
- Undertaking continuing education and training (CET).
Requirements
2 years of experience after body exams or 2 years after graduation in countries that don’t need license to practice
