Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our prestigious medical facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a focus on diagnosing and treating defects, injuries, and diseases related to the mouth, jaw, and facial regions. The candidate should be committed to providing high-quality patient care and be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat patients with oral and maxillofacial conditions, including facial trauma, jaw deformities, oral pathology, and dental implants
- Perform surgical procedures such as corrective jaw surgery, cleft lip and palate repair, facial reconstruction, and TMJ surgery
- Evaluate and manage patients with head and neck cancer, and collaborate with oncologists and other specialists for comprehensive treatment plans
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing oral and maxillofacial surgery
- Utilize the latest surgical techniques and technology to optimize patient outcomes and minimize recovery time
- Educate and provide guidance to patients and their families on treatment options, procedures, and post-operative care
- Participate in clinical research, academic activities, and continuing medical education to stay updated with advancements in the field

Salary:
AED 55,000 to 65,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery
- Board certification or eligibility for certification in oral and maxillofacial surgery
- Valid medical license to practice as an oral maxillofacial surgeon in the UAE
- Proven experience in performing a wide range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures
- Excellent clinical and surgical skills, with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with a diverse patient population and healthcare professionals
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of new technologies and treatment modalities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
