Job Description

As a Painter and Polisher, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and cleanliness of the hotel's interior and exterior surfaces. Your expertise in painting and polishing will contribute significantly to creating a welcoming and visually pleasing environment for guests and employees.

- Prepare surfaces for painting or polishing by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and applying primer as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers. Ensure a smooth and even coat, paying close attention to detail and adhering to brand standards.
- Polish wood, metal, glass, and other surfaces to restore shine and remove imperfections. Utilize appropriate tools and techniques for each surface type.
- Mix paints and stains to match existing colors or specified color schemes. Maintain accurate records of paint colors and finishes used throughout the hotel.
- Repair minor surface damages such as cracks, holes, and scratches prior to painting or polishing. Coordinate with maintenance staff for more extensive repairs when necessary.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while handling paints, solvents, and equipment. Ensure proper ventilation and use of personal protective equipment to minimize health risks.
- Maintain painting and polishing equipment in good working condition. Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs as needed.
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Touch up areas as required to achieve a flawless appearance.
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and minimize disruption to hotel operations. Coordinate painting and polishing projects with other departments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other hotel employees regarding project requirements, progress, and any issues encountered.
