Part Time Physiotherapist - Female

Job description / Role

- Undertake the specialist assessment of patients as an autonomous practitioner, including those of highly complex presentations
- Plan, implement, treat and evaluate physiotherapy interventions within your specialties, applying advanced theory, analyzing complex problems and demonstrating clinical reasoning and efficient goal setting
- Undertake clinical audit, clinical effectiveness activity
- Ensure competent use, repair and maintenance of equipment i.e. hoists, gym equipment in order to ensure patient safety
- Responsible for own and team (physiotherapy) patient care plans and be consulted frequently for specialist advise and guidance by junior team members and other health care professionals
- Demonstrate effective and efficient case load management through prioritization of patients
- Work as an integral part of the specialized team comprising Medical, Nursing and other Healthcare staff, providing advise and recommendations regarding physiotherapy input and contributing toward service department
- Responsible for maintenance of accurate written records that comply with Professional & Legal requirements for self and team including comprehensive progress and discharge reports to referrers
- Adapt and develop services in own area, following discussion and agreement with the Physiotherapy Manager, in response to demand and current clinical evidence
- Doctor's/progress reports written as per standard and timeously submitted to relevant person
- A process of consultation, referral and treatment is followed

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institute
- Relevant post graduate training in clinical or management is a plus
- With active UAE license (DHA, HAAD, MOH or DHCC)
- Part time contract requires 3 days a week (Thursdays, Saturdays and Mondays OR Tuesdays). Timings are between 8AM and 5PM during Thursdays and Saturdays and 10 AM and 7 PM for the other day
- At least 5 years specialist experience in managing a wide range of Musculoskeletal disorders in an outpatient setting
- Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Training is an advantage
- Must be proficient in the English language, written and oral skills
- Computer literacy with intermediate knowledge of MS Office
- Must show ability to relate to other staff members and be able to successfully contribute to training functions
- Knowledge of Arabic is desirable
