Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules using software tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and updates.
- Analyze project data, identify potential risks and delays, and propose solutions to ensure timely project completion.
- Monitor project progress and performance, and provide regular reports to the project team and management.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets, resource allocation, and cost estimation.
- Collaborate with the project team to optimize project plans and schedules, and implement best practices for project management.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Solid understanding of project management principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to project planning and scheduling.
