Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing project plans, schedules, and budgets, as well as monitoring progress and performance to ensure on-time and within budget project delivery. This role will be crucial in contributing to the success of our landscaping and construction projects.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules using appropriate software tools
- Create and update project plans, including resource allocation and cost estimation
- Monitor project progress and performance to identify deviations from the plan
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project plans with overall objectives
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to management and stakeholders
- Identify potential risks and delays, and propose mitigation strategies
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning and scheduling processes

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the landscaping or construction industry
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
- Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address project-related challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
