Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Pipeline Specialist with extensive experience in the oil and Gas industry for ADNOC Onshore client to be based in Abu Dhabi.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and supervise a team of relevant discipline engineers
- Reviewing pipeline alignment sheets
- Review and supervise pipeline design basis and stress analysis
- Review Pig launcher and receiver units and design , etc.
- Responsible for providing expertise and ensures the application of correct standards in all FEED / EPC deliverables in the design and development of projects associated with Oil and Gas processing, production and export
- Develop actively the local staff to fulfill engineers and managing role
- Know the environmental aspects (ISO14001) of oil and gas design
- Know the safety aspects of design in relation to the project cycle (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, HAZAN, IPF classification methodology and implementation, reliability studies, Fire and Gas mapping and risk analysis techniques)
- Prepare RFQ (request for quotation) technical packages for pipelines related scopes
- Prepare engineering, construction and material estimation, schedule, resource planning and update resource capacity planning half-yearly
- Provide first class engineering in one or more of the following fields; risers, subsea pipelines, landfalls, subsea manifolds, piping design and subsea pipeline
- Be familiar with working with construction engineers and installation schemes
- Review Pipeline Procurement activities ranging from Specifications, Datasheets, Material Requisitions (MR), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), Price Schedules and Vendor Document Reviews for all Pipeline items.
- Review Stress Analysis of Underground and Surface laid pipelines using CAESAR II Software
- Review and preparation of Pipeline Alignment sheets, Crossing Schedules, Pipeline GADs, Pipeline Schematic Drawings
- Implement Quality & HSE standards and procedures to ensure the overall Pipeline Engineering discipline meet industry standards.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5) years (preferred) in GCC region.
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects
- ADNOC experience is desired
- Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software
- Experience of working in a multi - project / multi - disciplined environment and throughout all engineering and design phases of projects
- Previous experience in EPC/EPCM Oil & Gas projects within the upstream sector in wellhead development projects and facilities and have worked on ADNOC Projects
