Accountabilities

Health & Safety

Seen as a strong safety proponent/leader/champion for Life.
- HSE Leadership - leads HSE conversations, participates in HSE site walks.
- Sets a strong HSE example and develops/supports portfolio specific HSE plans and initiatives.
- Thinks ahead and takes proactive action on internal/external safety issues.
- Applies strong and impactful safety principles to team and customer, and drives safety culture at work and home.
- Oversees the safety plans for multiple contractors involved in the portfolio.

Leadership

Effectively leads portfolio team comprised of multiple project leaders and a multi-discipline team.
- Understands the business strategy and translates into team goals and objectives and gains team commitment to achieving those goals and objectives.
- Implements communication tools and process to ensure all team members are informed about portfolio status and key performance indicators.
- Oversees, motivates and monitors the performance of the team, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and addresses any performance gaps.
- Provides current, direct, complete and 'actionable' positive and correctional feedback.
- Demonstrates the ability to build support for ideas, presenting alternatives and recommendations persuasively.
- Provides leadership to third-party team members

Technical Expertise
- Ensures methodologies, processes, tools and systems as set out in portfolio contract are used throughout the portfolio and compliance requirements are met/satisfied.
- Applies knowledge of all aspects of contracted services (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, and/or Maintenance) to oversee the successful execution of the portfolio plan.
- Demonstrated capability of overseeing large - scale portfolios with responsibility for the full performance of the portfolio projects.
- Procurement of equipment materials on Worley paper, subcontracting and materials plan, multiple contracts on Worley paper.
- Capability to manage mixed contracting strategy such as Unit Price, Lump Sum, Reimbursible.
- Has experience with managing complex scope changes.
- Manages projects and monitors progress in an ordered, accurate way, provides accurate and timely information.

Financial Acumen

Applies in - depth knowledge of customer contract to the oversight and management of the portfolio.
- Strong understanding and application of business drivers, financial reporting standards and customer contract.
- Monitors cost and schedule and uses analytical skill to forecast trends for individual projects and overall portfolio.
- Ensures key deliverable and install quantities are measured, reported and analyzed.
- Understands project cost buildup including gross margin together with risks that may erode margin and oppertunties to improve margin.
- Ensures proper change control processes are understood and used by the portfolio team.
- Manages cash flow requirements, including accounts receivable, and work in progress to minimize days sales outstanding (DSO).
- Demonstrated controls on lump sum and fixed price contracts.

Execution Planning & Performance

Experienced in developing and reviewing Project Execution Plans.
- Strong ability to develop and deliver Portfolio Annual Business Plan and Three Year Strategic Plan.
- Incorporates lessons learned as inputs to implementing the portfolio continuous improvement plan.
- Has successfully managed the application of appropriate coordination, reviews and follow ups across the portfolio.
- Depth of understanding of overall portfolio in order to balance competing needs, timeframes and resources and identifies what is critical to success.
- Deep understanding of Project and Portfolio Control Reports and able to indentify problem areas for correction.
- Applies forward planning with schedule to resource the project appropriately.
- Incorporates Value Creation and Sustainable Solutions objectives into portfolio plan, measures and delivers to objectives.
- Experienced in successful workshare execution.

Effectively communicate and take a leadership role in preparing and presenting proposals and reports to team and management.
- Implements clear communication protocols, processes and tools for the team.
- Clearly communicates customer objectives and expectations, contractual requirements, KPI and portfolio status with team.
- Effectively communicates in a variety of settings: one - on - one, small and large groups, and among diverse styles and position levels.
- Creates an environment for open communication across levels, functions, geography and cultures to build high performing team based on trust and respect.
- Resolves issues and conflicts within the project team including customer.
- Identifies resourcing needs, selects people well and develops a cohesive team that is focused and motivated.
- Effectively communicates in a variety of settings: one - on - one, small and large groups, and among diverse styles and position levels.
- Communicates effectively about sensitive and/or complex subjects of strategic importance to influence desired outcomes.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

- Understands the customer's business objectives and what needs to be achieved in a one and a five year timeframe.
- Identifies and understands the customer's key drivers (KPIs) and ensures alignment to portfolio KPIs.
- Manages customer representatives and other significant stakeholders, including winning over those with negative perspectives about the portfolio relationship.
- Manages and nurtures customer and stakeholder relationship based on established expectations and communication protocols.
- Develops a relationship of trust and respect with ability to discuss project and portfolio progress, challenges and issues in a transparent manner.

Risk & Opportunity Management

Understands commercial and legal risks in the contract, prepares and manages mitigation plans.
- Implements risk and opportunity management across portfolio per the Worley risk management standards and procedures.
- Identifies potential risks or new risks as the portfolio progresses and effectively develops risk mitigation, contingency and resolution plans.
- Maintains detailed risk register that is current, updated, reviewed and communicated on a regular basis (at least monthly).
- Keeps project and portfolio contingencies aligned with the risk register.

Requirements

Qualifications

Qualifications, Accreditation, Training (Essential)
- University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Qualifications, Accreditation, Training (Desirable)
- Professional registration in local juridication; Certified Project and/or Portfolio Management Professional by a globally recognized project management organization (IPMA, APM, PMI, AIPM ).

Job Specific Knowledge, Experience

Job Specific Knowledge, Experience (Essential)
- Typically 20 years experience, including 15 years of relevant supervisory, project management and/or technical experience; Portfolio Manager experience leading medium to large portfolios, includes multiple sites and EPCM and/or EPC services; Workshare experience; EPCM, EPC including site assignments.

Job Specific Knowledge, Experience (Desirable)
- Demonstrated experience leading complex portfolios with high risk elements; Multi-Cultural / Multi-National environments .
