Job description / Role
Our client in the maritime industry is looking for a PR Manager to manage PR activities for the Middle East and Asia region. This is an opportunity for an experienced PR Manager to make a name for themselves on an industry platform.
• Reporting to the CEO you will take ultimate responsibility for the PR and communications of the organisation.
• You will manage and set up various industry events being responsible for all aspects from A-Z;
• You will draft internal and external communications in English and Mandarin ensuring all communications are in line with the organisation's goals;
• You will speak at large public events and be "the face" of the organisation in front of media. You will be confident presenting in public in English, Mandarin and ideally Arabic.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you must have:
• Previous managerial experience in a PR agency or in house in a PR role;
• Experience of working in the maritime industry is an advantage;
• Previous experience of managing all crisis communications is essential;
• Candidates must be fluent in English and Mandarin. (Arabic would also be ideal)
• You will have experience of managing events in the UAE and will have contacts in various media organisations;
• Strong contacts in both Chinese & UAE Embassies and relevant industry related government departments.
