PR/Marketing and Communication Manager (Arabic Speaker for an Event Management)

A new exciting opportunity has come up for an event management company. Our client is currently looking for a PR/Communication and Sponsorship Manager (Arabic Speaker) to be based in Sharjah.

For this position you will have the following responsibilities:
• Develop a coherent and aligned overall communications and PR strategy for the organization
• Revise and lead efforts that create real impact in communicating our key messages and influencing business behaviour
• Develop and execute an action plan for PR, and manage the budget accordingly
• Manage the overall relationship with the PR firm
• With the help of the PR firm, write articles, editorials, thought leadership pieces, business leader interviews and speeches on the topics of interest for the organization
• Develop and execute a social media action plan to link with influencers, reach a wide targeted audience and maximise interest and awareness of the organizations developed content, published reports and related infographics
• Act as a spokesperson for the organization, particularly with Arabic media — in TV and radio interviews, short web videos, and in printed press interviews.
• Communicate regularly to the organization’s constituents, through newsletters, progress reports and an annual report
• Generate a wide variety of new online and offline content related to programme topic areas, through interviews, guest articles, expert views and profiles
• Re-develop and then consistently manage the organization’s website to maximise Partner engagement, Partner resources, positioning, content dissemination and traffic
• Optimise the organization’s blog
• Build a freely-accessible regionally-focused interactive, searchable, bilingual online resource centre full of case studies, publications, initiatives, toolkits, guidelines, news, articles and links
• Help lead the facilitation of events to achieve the desired outcomes
• Develop a network of senior relationships with companies and key organisations across the GCC
• Work with the Executive Director to generate corporate funding contributions, through Partnership and Sponsorship
• Develop and manage the criteria, target list and action plan to reach out to and follow up on all potential partner company and sponsorship approaches
• Speak on behalf of the organization at conferences and meetings around the region

Requirements

• A University degree
• Perfect ability to write content in clear, structured and compelling English
• Ability to approve written content in Arabic
• At least 6 years of work experience in a relevant business sector or a business services environment
• An awareness of the topics of corporate governance, transparency and responsible business practices in the Middle East
• Active experience of, and passion for, social media
• Good communication, networking, public speaking and presentation skills (fluent in English and Arabic)
• Can articulate clearly, logically and professionally with outside constituents, including at the CEO level
• The creativity to optimise the use of a variety of communication tools and media channels A flexible, supportive and positive team player
• Can complete simultaneous tasks in a high pressure environment, to deadline and budget
