Job description / Role
Our client, a leading IT security provider is currently looking to hire a Presales Consultant/Solutions architect.
The Splunk Presales Consultant will mainly be responsible for integrating security solutions engagements in medium to large Enterprise environments. Drawing on both technical and business integration acumen, there is the opportunity to interact with and manage relations between both clients and internal staff. This role requires the hands-on architecture, design and deployment of projects with project teams of varying sizes.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting Hands-on POCs on Splunk
- Developing and implementing use cases for Splunk as a SIEM solution
- Creating dashboards, reports and alerts based on Splunk
- Documenting findings and presenting them to customers in a clear method
- Defining customer requirements with a focus on Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions at an Enterprise level.
- Developing detailed SIEM architecture plans, performing requirements analysis and producing design documents including functional and technical specifications.
Requirements
- 8+ years in IT with a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in providing hands-on technical integration expertise on SIEM Solutions within large corporate environments, 2 years minimum of Splunk experience.
Experienced in:
- Installing and configuring SIEM Splunk software for Enterprise solutions;
- Using the SIEM solution console to investigate security incidents at an Enterprise level;
- Defining use cases for perimeter security at an Enterprise level;
- Defining use cases for advanced persistent threats at an Enterprise level;
- Defining use cases for insider threats at an Enterprise level;
- Documenting SIEM solutions use cases at an Enterprise level;
- Validating and approving SIEM use cases documentation at an Enterprise level;
- Developing general use cases at an Enterprise level;
- Supporting SIEM administrative content (i.e. access rights, rules, dashboard, health and performance monitoring) at an Enterprise level.
- Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills in English
- Able to communicate technical points to others at the technical, user and management levels
- Superb customer relations and the ability to interact with customers at all levels
- Willing to attain and maintain technical certifications with our major SIEM vendors
- Strong Networking skills
- Ability to gain management support and work effectively at all levels across the organization and across department
- Team oriented, with extensive experience in working in complex technical projects
- Autonomous and ability to accept responsibility with minimal supervision
