Principal Architect (Digital Workplace & Productivity)

We are currently looking for a Principal Architect (Digital Workplace & Productivity) for an exciting opportunity here in Dubai. You will design, develop and govern the solution architecture of the Group in alignment with corporate business and IT strategies, ensuring appropriate balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements.

Requirements

Applications are sought from those with the following experience:

• Excellent English language skills
• Must have at least 12 to 15 years of total experience.
• Degree or Honors in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent IT related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of capability frameworks such as CMMI.
• Understanding of TOGAF, IASA, Zachman and other Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
• Understanding of industry standard development methods (e.g. RUP, SCRUM)
• Understanding of ITIL Framework.
• Must have experience migrating from on-premises SharePoint/File Shares to O365 including hybrid environments.
• A strong understanding of mobile device concepts, and at least a basic understanding of Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite.
• This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work closely with other engineers and administrators.
• Ability to assist Office 365 COE team in analysing and understanding potential impact of competing technologies.
• Lead the development and documentation of Digital Workplace/Content services solutions architectural patterns and solution designs for use in solutions. Provide expert consultancy and coaching on these to project teams.
• Lead the solution shaping phase for major (more than AED 5m) complex projects, taking full responsibility for the solution architecture of the solution.
• Lead solution design reviews and technical design reviews, ensuring that projects are aligned to Content services standards and patterns.
• Manage, direct, inspire and coach the work and capability of project resources as required.
