Principal Enterprise Architect - Transition & Delivery

Job description / Role

The vacant position is defined as in the domain of IT Architecture focusing on the mapping of IT capabilities to business needs. Focus is on defining the relationships, flows and implementation of business processes and activities, applications, data and technology in the enterprise with special attention to the transitional process necessary for implementing technology in response to changing business needs.

The Principal Enterprise Architect role is a Technical Leadership role for the ITO Department in Dubai. ICT Transformation, full stack IT Managed Services, Tool suite (ITSM/ITOM/ITOA) are all responsibilities of this department.

The Principal Enterprise Architect will be responsible for pre-sale support and solution development for global ITO (IT Outsourcing) projects, which includes:
- Collect and analyze ITO requirement and current operation status, identify the sales opportunity point, assist front line to finalize sales strategy for the project,
- Participate in high level customer (CXO,VP) communication,
- Assist front line sales team to develop a competitive solution and strong business case and proposal,
- Participate in Project Due Diligence and contract negotiation,
- Summarize bidding experience,
- Responsible for global ITO project review, project risk identification and analysis, cost calculation & quotation conducting, sale & delivery conducting, etc.
- Develop, present and demonstrate solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences,
- Prepare ITO proposals for hardware, software, and professional services,
- Understand the dependencies of ITO solutions on other components to develop complete solutions for customers,
- Provide necessary feedback to customer’s RFI’s and RFP’s,
- Maintain competitive knowledge on Cloud DC industries and related products,
- Lead the transition team after RFP stage for transition tasks until the operation team take the daily operation.

Requirements

- At least 12+ years’ experience in IT/ICT industry, at least 8+ years’ experience in ITO projects, especially ITO delivery projects,
- Relevant experience within IT Service provider,
- Familiar with the telecom operators’ data center and cloud computing technology & services, familiar with BSS/OSS, TOGAF, eTOM and ITIL.
- Master knowledge of one or more of the following areas of IT, and have independent project or project group operation or project management experience: IT outsourcing services sales and delivery, IT solution architecture, transition, maintenance, system optimization and performance improvement, with large and medium-sized outsourcing projects (project amount more than 10 Mln. USD) delivery experience, or project development experience,
- Strong communication skills, strong sense of service, outstanding presentation skills with technical and non-technical audience,
- Rich ITO experience with DC consolidation and migration,
- Proven analytical, time-management, problem solving and consulting skills,
- Strong relationship building skills and overall comprehension of sales cycle,
- Education background: Bachelor degree or above, major in ICT,
- English: Very fluent,
- Location: Dubai, UAE.
- Travel: 50-75% frequency to the countries in Middle East, Africa, and even Europe.
