Private Equity Analyst

Job description / Role

Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough financial analysis, including financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis, to evaluate potential investment opportunities
• Perform comprehensive due diligence on target companies, including market research, industry analysis, competitive benchmarking, and assessment of key risks and opportunities
• Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other materials for internal investment committee review
• Support senior team members in negotiating and structuring transactions, including conducting negotiations, drafting legal documentation, and coordinating with external advisors
• Monitor and track the performance of portfolio companies, including financial performance, operational metrics, and market trends
• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual reports for investors, including performance updates, investment outlook, and strategic initiatives
• Stay informed of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes that may impact investment decisions

Requirements

Personal Specification:
• BSc. or MSc. in engineering or business/management
• 6 months to 2 years of full time (excluding internships) experience in investment banking (M&A, ECM), Transaction Services, or strategic consulting (Big 4, MBB)
• Interest for emerging markets (Asia, GCC, Africa)
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely
