Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Private Label Quality Manager - Non Food is responsible to manage and ensure the proper execution of the full Private Label Quality Process of all HHH (mobility, TV , Home Appliances) , LHH (House wear, Kitchen wear, Toys, Sports) and Textile (Men, Women, Children) Departments, (Technical Files, Reporting, Packaging validation, and Customer complaints, Recalls, Audits,) to ensure Private Label Quality Safety & regulatory compliance.

Permanent Responsibilities:

Assets:
• Ensure proper implementation of the quality processes associated with the development and monitoring of PL products.
• Review & validate technical documents related to PL development & ensure its compliance with Carrefour quality policy & local regulation.
• Supporting Majid Al Futtaim Retail countries with import rules & regulation, problem solving.
• Monitor customer complaints by prioritizing and arranging for corrective actions as per quality procedures & policies.
• Guarantee the quality application and protection of “know how”
• Reviewing supplier audit’s action plans and ensuring its effectiveness.
• Follow up recalls and customer complaints cases by validating and assisting for corrective actions as per quality procedures & policies.
• Reviewing the lab analysis reports for PL products as per quality control plan.
• Maintaining a good communication with supplier, authorities to guarantee the professional image of the department.
• Maintaining a good communication with Quality services providers to guarantee the professional image of the company.
• Preparing the monthly reports regarding the quality activities as per direction.

• Be a role model and ensure the application of Majid Al Futtaim Retail corporate policies and guarantee the implementation of all laws , regulations and cultural practices of the operating countries are followed and respected
• Practices the company values and guarantees the same is respected and followed by the department team members
• Responsible for the Performance Management of the team
• setting particular objectives for the direct reports - once a year - which are in-line with the company and department targets
• carrying out performance analysis with regular feedback to direct reports and ensuring that this is further deployed within the team
• Identify employees with high potential, growth and proposes further development
• Identify and recommend training needs for the team and follow up on the implementation (TNA)
• Develop and implement on the job-training for the team
• Promotes and practice communication and participatory management within the team

Merchandise:
• Communicate with supplier on technical specification and quality parameters during product development and validate specification along with supportive technical documents.
• Following project development steps to ensure product launching as per project plan.
• Ensure all packaging specifications & labels are complying with local regulation and Carrefour standards.
• Arrange with the collaboration of the commercial team for panel test for underdevelopment products.
• Communicate with supplier on customer complaints and lab analysis non conformities and validate corrective action plan along with supportive technical documents.
• Preparing the monthly reports regarding the quality activities.
• Arrange the regular visit of local suppliers and collaborate with them to finalize the technical file.

Finance:
• Respect the procedures in accordance with the DOA.
• Ensure that financial aspects of the third party services providers are adhered to the contracts and those contracts are renewed in a timely fashion.
• Propose and take necessary measures towards continuous reduction of the operational costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree of Engineering (Industrial, mechanical or electrical) or equivalent
• Strong knowledge in industrial manufacturing of Household products.
• Excellent Communication skills
• Rigorous & Pragmatic.
• Organized with sense of priorities.
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of Quality process associated with the development and monitoring of products
• Ability to assess the severity of non-compliance and conduct appropriate corrective actions on time
• Auditing skills based on the international management systems

Preferred Languages:
• English (Full professional proficiency - Required)
• Arabic is preferable.
• French is a plus.

Years of Experience:
• Min. 5 years professional experience

Field Experience:
• Household products manufacturing.
