Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Procure to Pay is accountable for the leadership and effective operation of the Procure to Pay team.

Overseeing the Accounts Payable function from hiring staff and managing performance including,
• Motivating staff and making reward decisions
• Key decision maker of the Accounts Payable function
• Setting departmental objectives
• Prepares the Accounts Payable team budget as part of the annual budget cycle and performs
• Ongoing reviews of the adherence to the budget providing explanations for variances
• Routine activities such as the review and approval for disbursements including processing payroll
• Managing the maintenance of the GL – AP accounts ensuring accuracy and timeliness of recordings.
• Manages the month end close of financial records (e.g. posting of month-end journals)
• Monitors adherence of the Accounts Payable function to company policy and procedures
• Embedding and maintaining a strong control environment across the Accounts Payable team
• Building and maintaining external relationships with clients and suppliers
• Reviewing Accounts Payable related MI for board reporting
• Acts as the business contact for all external Accounts Payable related queries required for statutory
• Reporting purposes and as the contact for the business to provide accounting assistance to project teams
• As required to meet the needs of the business
• Liaises with the external auditor for all Accounts Payable related queries

• Experience in working as a people manager of a Finance Shared Services team
• Experience in working across multiple global entities and time zones
• Significant experience in Accounts Payables management
• Knowledgeable in Finance Shared Services best practices and governance procedures
• Experience in setting up a new shared services centre (desirable)

Required Flexibility
Mon- Fri work week
Work timings- 11.00am to 8.00pm
Travel to Africa and other countries
