Position: Procurement and Logistics Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement and Logistics Specialist with extensive expertise in arranging shipments from the UAE, negotiating freights, and handling third port shipments. The ideal candidate will also have strong skills in hunting for new suppliers, coordinating with them to obtain rates for our desired products, and presenting this information to the procurement manager. This role requires a presentable and organized individual who can give our office a professional touch.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and coordinate all logistics operations, including arranging shipments from the UAE and handling third port shipments.
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries.
- Verify and process Letters of Credit (LC) documents, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
- Perform various administrative tasks to support daily operations, including documentation, record-keeping, and correspondence.
- Maintain an organized and efficient office environment, contributing to a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
- Actively seek out new suppliers, obtain competitive rates for desired products, and present findings to the procurement manager.
- Negotiate and finalize supply agreements with new suppliers to ensure the best possible terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow, addressing challenges proactively.

Salary:
AED 4,000 to 6,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Extensive experience in logistics and procurement operations from the UAE.
- Proven track record in negotiating freights and handling third port shipments.
- Sound knowledge of checking LC documents and understanding international trade regulations.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Presentable and professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated skills in sourcing and negotiating with new suppliers.
