Procurement Engineer

Job description / Role

The Procurement Engineer will source, purchase, and manage goods and services for the restaurant. They need strong negotiation skills, supply chain expertise, and the ability to work well with vendors and internal teams. This role is crucial for maintaining quality, controlling costs, and managing inventory effectively.

Responsibilities:

* Supply Chain Management: Proficient in managing the flow of goods and services, including sourcing, purchasing, and distribution.
* Vendor Management: Skilled in building strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely deliveries.
* Cost Management: Analytical in identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies to optimize procurement spending.
* Inventory Control: Experienced in managing inventory levels, minimizing excess stock, and ensuring essential items are available.
* Quality Assurance: Knowledgeable in food and beverage quality standards to ensure purchases meet requirements.

Requirements

Requirements:

* Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
* Experience: 2-5 years in procurement, preferably in food and beverage or a fast-paced environment.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software, inventory management systems, and procurement best practices.
* Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the restaurant industry, including food and beverage products, suppliers, and market trends.
* Analytical Skills: Able to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
* Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with teams and suppliers.
* Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying and resolving procurement process issues.
* Adaptability: Flexible to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
* Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in orders and records.
