Procurement Engineer

Job description / Role

• As a Procurement Engineer with a civil engineering background, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for infrastructure and landscaping projects.
• Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will leverage your technical expertise to support project teams in selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and optimising procurement processes to meet project requirements and deadlines.

Salary:
AED 8,000 to 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Additional certification in procurement or supply chain management is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within the infrastructure or construction industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering materials, specifications, and construction methods.
• Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
