Job description / Role
Client is one of the largest dry food manufacturers locally, is looking to recruit a procurement head for its operations based in Sharjah. The procurement manager is responsible for:
• Managing and negotiating suppliers relationships within the dry foods industry
• Working alongside the procurement manager to manage the procurement process
• Analyse and manage new and existing supplier relationships
The role of Procurement Manager will include, but not limited to the following:
• Managing and analysing existing supplier relationships
• Actively sourcing new suppliers and negotiating costs whilst maintaining high quality
• Monitoring for emerging trends, policies, regulations and guidelines and Analyse and communicate
• Work alongside the manufacturing site manager and distribution centre manager to identify supplier issues and collaborate to find a solution
• Must be fluent Arabic speaker
• Must be degree qualified in supply chain or procurement
Requirements
• Expertise on products and knowledge of existing dry foods market
• Minimum 2-3 year's experience in the same field
•Prior work experience with a principal / distributor company is essential.
• MUST be Fluent in English and Arabic
• Must have BA in procurement/supply chain
