Procurement Specialist - UAE National

Job description / Role

We are looking to hire a UAE National to join the Procurement team for one of our leading semi government clients. You who will be responsible for overseeing category procurement sourcing activities for the business, focusing on requisition to purchase order, and driving value through improvement efforts.

This is a 10 month renewable contract.

Key Responsibilities:

Execution Excellence & Adherence:
• Adherence to established procurement processes, aligning sourcing with business needs, monitoring performance for improvements, and serving as the primary contact for sourcing inquiries.

Professional Services Sourcing Management:
• Address and prioritize procurement requirements for professional services, optimize the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process, manage RFPs, select suppliers, analyze bids, and oversee contracts, contributing to efficiency and strategic sourcing.

Supplier & Dispute Management:
• Maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate favorable contract terms, and regularly assess supplier performance within the professional services category for effective supplier management.

Continuous Improvement and Process Optimization:
• Identify and lead improvement projects in professional services sourcing, participate in initiatives to enhance processes, and track cost savings to drive efficiency.

Self-Management:
• Set and achieve personal objectives, continuously develop skills, and foster a customer-centric, innovative culture within the organization.

Salary:
AED 10,000 to 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Preferred additional qualifications such as CIPS or Project Management certifications.
• 1 year of procurement experience, with a focus on professional services.
• Proficiency in project management for procurement projects.
• Strong understanding of contracts and legal terminology, particularly in the context of professional services.
• Experience in diverse professional services procurement categories.
• Preferred experience in professional services procurement shared services.
• Preferred experience working in the Middle East region.
• Skills in procurement sourcing, supplier relationship management, contracts, project management, strategic thinking, customer focus, innovation, and team leadership.

• Availability: Immediate availability is preferred.
