Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role holder is responsible for writing and creating compelling product descriptions to be uploaded online for various sport brands. The role holder is also responsible applying creative skills to capture and deliver the message of the brand.

Self-Management:
• Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
• Takes ownership of his/her own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the manager and agreeing on the individual development plan which goes beyond just training and development
• Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth

Requirements

• Collaborates with various E-commerce functions and Sports business units to write relevant and creative web copy including product copy, SEO copy, website content, marketing and promotional materials, etc.
• Works closely with the Design function to create a consistent and high impact message to online customers
• Gathers information about products by conducing in-person interviews, store visits, and online research, if the existing information is not sufficient
• Understands the brand’s tone of voice and conceptualizes the content that fits its requirements
• Maintains a database of all product descriptions for tracking purposes and subsequent use
• Reviews and edits the content developed by team members to ensure that the written content is relevant and accurate
• Proofreads and edits own copy before submission to ensure accuracy
