Job Description

The Nutrition and Health Department, College of Food and Agriculture at the United Arab Emirates University invites applicants for a full-time faculty position in Nutrition and Wellness at the rank of Professor with primary research and secondary teaching responsibilities.

The successful candidate must develop a competitive and internationally visible research program in wellness management among diverse human age groups through nutritional optimization and implementation of various preventative approaches including exercise. The focus of research is preferably on early prevention and management of lifestyle induced chronic diseases. High quality original research publications from the conducted work in reputed international journals is an expectation.
The successful candidate will develop and teach courses in various nutrition and health related disciplines with emphasis on aspects related to the position. The candidate will maintain a strong graduate program; train postdocs and other trainees interact closely with health agencies/organizations and develop programs for the benefit of the community.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification

Ph.D. in Nutritional and/or Health Science with emphasis on wellness and management of lifestyle related chronic diseases in diverse human populations. Experience in teaching human nutrition and wellness courses at graduate and undergraduate level, mentoring graduate students, a track record of impactful publications and extramural grants as well as the ability to successfully collaborate with other faculty members are essential. Successful candidate must develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University.

Ph.D. in Nutritional and/or Health Science with emphasis on wellness and management of lifestyle related chronic diseases in diverse human populations.

SALARIES AND BENEFITS Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
