Job description / Role
Our client is a well funded international real estate development company that is developing a major AED 5 billion mixed use project in Abu Dhabi.
They are seeking a qualified Project Accountant to support the finance director in all aspects of the financial management specific to the role to ensure all costs are accurately captured by asset class in accordance with budgeted parameters. The role will be to ensure that necessary funds are available at all times by actively monitoring and forecasting cash requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain project records including, but not limited to the project charter, project plans, budgets, cash flow models, supporting schedules, briefs of major contracts & commitments and all periodic reports.
Prepare and maintain all project budgets ensuring any changes are approved in accordance with the relevant DOA.
Prepare and maintain project cash flow forecasting on a monthly/quarterly basis.
Monitor and report actual expenditure against pre-approved budgets ensuring all costs are classified correctly on an asset by asset basis.
Review all contracts ensuring the correct financial accounting treatment is identified and applied as per the relevant and pertinent financial terms and conditions.
Prepare all relevant reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial records.
Participate in project meetings representing finance in all matters, ensuring any and all issues are addressed and or communicated.
Ensure the appropriate governance and controls are implemented.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Qualified in accounting / finance or equivalent.
Fully qualified accountant. ACCA / CPA / CA.
MBA/Masters in Accountancy preferred.
Excellent command of the English language.
You will be based either Abu Dhabi or prepared to relocate there.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a cost accounting or relevant financial role. The successful candidate should have a thorough understanding of development processes in particular real estate development. They will be an effective communicator and have great people skills.
Highly proficient in Cash Flow forecasting, proficient in MS Excel and also a demonstrable understanding of Oracle ERP.
Total salary package circa AED 20-25k month (Gross Package) and private medical insurance.
Annual bonus.
