Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently looking for a highly experienced Project Delivery Manager to strengthen our team in Dubai. The primary objective of the role is to ensure Wood delivers on time and on budget whilst at all times meet our contractual obligations. The Project Delivery Manager will also identify and execute opportunities to exceed expectations in terms Wood's performance on our contractual commitments.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate leadership experience and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of Project Portfolio Delivery.

The Project Delivery Manager will have the ability to proactively anticipate performance concerns and to ensure Wood react prior to the need.

Key Activities
- Safety
- HSSE Champion across the contract as part of the Safety Leadership Team
- Ensuring that projects operate in accordance with Wood policies and procedures.
- Regular Site HSE Management visits
- Delivery Performance
- Delivery of Project Portfolio Performance with respect to Scope, Schedule, Quality, Cost, and Risk.
- Effective Change Management by ensuring that variation requests, contract amendment requests and claims are submitted in accordance with contract requirements.
- Accurate and timely Internal and External Reporting across the project
- Ownership of key activities and deliverables to include accuracy of Integrated Schedule, High Quality Product, all aspects of Work Share, Change Management, Risk Register and Risk Action Plans for the Project Delivery team.
- Development of recovery plans (where required), to ensure Wood delivers to commitments made to the client.
- Work collaboratively with the functions to ensure that the support required for Delivery is provided.
- The monitoring and control of project performance against budget, schedule, and quality and safety requirements using appropriate control tools.
- Governance of regular project progress, dashboards, and cost reports.

- Strict Compliance with Project Procedures
- Implement Lessons Learned and continuous improvement across the contract.
- Ensuring that projects operate in accordance with Wood policies and procedures.
- Contract Level
- Effective Relationship Management with the Customer
- Input and maintenance of the contract execution plan to include definition on project objectives and strategies, work scope, risk and opportunities, overall work plan and schedule, financial plan, quality, and safety requirements.
- Input into key Project Documents and reports including general input to all volumes of Project Management Plan, Project Execution plans, Review, and input to Contract Documents, Project, Health, Safety and Environmental Plans and Progress Reports to the customer.
- People Management
- Ensuring that appropriate competency assessment, training and development is provided for personnel.
- Effective Team building and ensure succession planning at all levels.
- Ensure Roles and Responsibilities are clear and signed off for direct reports and ensure that project objectives are clearly communicated.
- Maintenance of the Delivery Team morale and enthusiasm, by close contact with team members and Weekly team Meetings

Requirements

Skills / Qualifications
- Engineering Degree qualification or equivalent
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industries
- Previous experience of managing at least 4 Project Managers or Senior Project Managers (rather than project engineers) is essential
- Demonstrable success at delivering a Schedule Driven portfolio of Projects
- Track record of delivering a project of this complexity and scale both in terms of $1B TIC Dollars and number of Engineers (400+)
- Strong leadership skills and a track record of driving constituency and of predictable project delivery
- Significant multiple asset delivery management experience
- Proven experience in delivering tight margin, low non-recoverability portfolio
- Proven experience driving continuous improvement in a project organization
