Project Engineer

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is looking for a Project Engineer for a leading Dubai-based MEP contractor who offers complete turn-key engineering and facilities management solutions, including design, testing, installation, and fire safety works. This Junior-Mid level role, will be responsible for scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) to ensure accuracy and quality of designated MEP projects. In conjunction with this role, you will be responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects.

You will establish inspection criteria for properly implementing all the elements of a MEP project. Furthermore, you will be required to communicate with the Project Manager and other disciplinary’s, whilst collaborating with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods to maintain the project's profitability.

The Project Engineer will ensure the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications, performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance, and reporting on the project's status.

Requirements

The client will look to recruit a Project Engineer with 3 or more years of experience, within a GCC-based MEP Contractor or Consultant. The successful candidate should have a track record of handling an array of MEP projects, including but not limited to the following sectors Offices, Luxury residential, Retail Hospitality. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, from a recognised international university. Candidates holding a professional membership or Masters Degree will be considered as a priority.
