Job Description:
• Lead, design, schedule, plan, forecast, resourcing, execution and managing all activities to ensure the accuracy, quality, successful and safe implementation of Formation Treatments including Hydraulic Acid Fracturation Stimulation procedures in wells operated in, UAE.
• Responsible for overall performance of Acid/Frac stimulations in gas condensate reservoirs and compile detailed production enhancement/Acid Frac stimulation programs.
• Participate in project technical reviews and reviews proposals to ensure efficient/economic operations.
• Provide expert advice and assistance on operating issues and act as a Leader when assigned for special projects
• Write tender technical scope of work for stimulation projects and perform technical evaluation for commercial tenders.
• Conduct root cause analysis investigations to resolve issues and implement lessons learned for future operations.
• Conduct seminars, prepares manuals, and trains and develops other engineers and operating personnel.
• Assist in HSE field audits, investigations and/or initiatives.
• Ensure that all NPT events are captured and NPT reports are compiled, closed out and stored as required.
• Ensure that all Well Control Standards are met in all respects including equipment configuration, testing and crew response.
• Ensure that rig personnel and service company/contractor personnel comply with established safety standards and procedures.
• Serve as a mentor to less experienced engineers, both in the field and office.
• Participation in emergency preparedness activities.
• Make recommendations on alternative methods or equipment when unusual situations are encountered.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• 50 years old and above
• Bachelor of Engineering
• IWCF Level 4 Well Control certified
• 10+ years’ experience as a Production Stimulation (Acid & Fracturing) Subject Matter Expert with experience in onshore fields
• 10+ years’ experience in planning acid/frac jobs and coiled tubing operations
• 5+ years’ experience in tender and contract preparation related to production enhancement, acid fracturing & other stimulation services
• Full understanding of equipment & technical requirements of various services required for successful acid frac stimulation jobs
• Have international experience and significant onshore experience in the Middle East. Ideally has previous UAE experience
• Highly knowledgeable on acid fracturing/challenges & solutions
• Prior experience in both field and office based roles
• Experience in fracturing in HP?HT reservoirs
• Experience with high temperature wells of 302 degrees F or higher
• Design, execute, QA/QC, and perform post job analysis for acid and proppant fracturing treatments
• Experience in H2S environments
• Computer literate and power user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
• Proficiency in Acid Frac Stimulation principles and industry standard software applications
• Knowledge of auditing process, NCRs and response and Incident Reporting
