Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

The duties of the project manager shall include but not be limited to the following tasks:
• To assist the industrial projects manager to meet Department goals and objectives which are set out by the Vice president - Engineering & projects division on accordance with the corporate balanced scorecards and strategies, by applying professional project management and value engineering practices for Service Station projects and other related projects from contract award stage to completion and then final hand – over.
• To manage the implementation of projects by ensuring that each of the consultant supervision team, the Contractor’s execution team, suppliers and sub-contractors are carrying out their duties, all in accordance with the contractual terms & conditions (technical and financial)and the scope of work.
• Ensure that Company’s policy for the Health ,Safety and Environment are up-held at the projects sites, and conducts random inspections on HSE issues in coordination with the HSE division.
• Manage and Perform works in full compliance with Company’s quality management procedures, as per ISO 90001:2000.
• Manage and monitor the progress of each project from the award stage till the issuance of Final Acceptance Certificate. Ensure appropriate coordination of various project activities in the mentioned project phases. Coordinate planning, design, engineering, technical and quality control, cost control to ensure timely and smooth progress of works. Liaise with other divisions or departments and local authorities for their inputs or approvals on various issues to ensure smooth progress of project.
• Propose and implement innovative execution or construction methods to reduce construction time or reduce construction costs, without affecting ADNOC Distribution quality & Standards and to meet the departmental goals of completing projects within time, budgets and high standard quality by applying the best Projects Management knowledge.
• Ensure that the quality of ,material/equipment is as per the specifications, and that the ultimate product is as per the contract scope.
• Lead the creation of risk management plan to identify ,analyse, monitor and respond to risks associated with the project to ensure ability to achieve expected outcomes, on time and on budget.
• Discuss and coordinate daily matters with Industrial projects Mgt. Department manager , engineer Department, Projects Support Officer, and other divisional staff to ensure smooth and timely progress of project works. Holds regular meetings with Service Station Projects Department Manager, to review projects status and all related issues.
• Control and review the works carried out by consultants, contractors and long lead suppliers, certify their progress invoices for Industrial Projects Mgt. Department manager’s review and approval.
• Control and manage assets of the projects under demolition on coordination with contractor and end user. Provide fixed assets, material lists for executed projects to Finance Division. Moreover, follow with Finance Division, maintenance Division and other end users the procedures of closing and demolition of an old image station.
• Hold regular sire technical & progress review meeting with consultants , contractors and suppliers to discuss miscellaneous technical issues (Civil ,Electrical, Mechanical and Architectural( and conducts inspection of on- going activities to ensure quality control and smooth progress.
• Organize Provisional and Final hand-Over committees of projects in coordination with Engineering Department, Service Station projects Department Manager and end users. Follow operational and technical problems during contractual liability period with end-users and updates Industrial Projects mgt. Department Manger until approval of the Final Acceptance Certificate.

Requirements

• The Project manager shall be a qualified Mechanical/Industrial Engineer
• Total 20 years of overall experience
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Project and Construction Management
• Lead PMC staff in controlling overall Project Quality, Safety, Progress and Cost Objectives as well as to ensure all Project Documentation is properly controlled as per COMPANY requirements
• Knowledge in Value engineering concepts and practices
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
• Must have a valid UAE Driving Licence

Desired profile:
• Must have on Oil & Gas field Experience, especially in Projects/facilities related to Multi-Product Storage Tanks Terminals/LPG Storage Bottling Plants etc. mainly related to Design Experience and Construction of Storage Tanks, LPG Bullets, piping, pipelines, static equipment, rotating equipment (like pumps), fire-fighting system, truck loading system, utilities and other associated/similar facilities).
• Must hold Hands On Design, FEED and Design Review Experience on the Major Projects of above nature along with construction exposure
