Scope of Work Details:

The principal role will be to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close projects.

This involves management and leadership to manage the workstreams and project controls. The PM must be exponent and leader of the Nawah project management methodology and change management framework and will therefore be a mentor as well as delivering project scope, cost, schedule and quality. The PM must therefore possess, in addition to technical acumen, strong leadership and communication skills and abundant initiative, motivation, adaptability,comfort with uncertainty, and cultural sensitivity.

The PM will be expected to produce detailed scope of work, requirements, deliverables, and acceptance criteria of all project activities to all the workstreams allocated to them. The PM will be fully responsible for the successful completion of the tasks related to the allocated sub-projects, including communications, change management, governance, design completion and contract changes. The PM will ideally have nuclear experience and will possess the necessary skill-set to gather reporting requirements and develop framework for data governance and reporting procedures.

Principal Activities:
• Lead project team to deliver project scope and outcomes
• Act as team member of the Nawah Reporting group
• Proactively seek information from Stakeholders to assist in the development of projects
• Coordinate communications across the project team and other project
• Undertake and record regular project progress meetings
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders as required to support the development, understanding and delivery of project deliverables and milestones
• Analyze threats and opportunities that may impact the schedule and create corrective action plans with project team members and project sponsor
• Undertake Risk and Issue workshops to identify and capture risks and issues with mitigations strategies and actions
• Plan and develop the required budget for the project from initiation to closure including all aspects under the budget management and cost management such as financial milestones and payment schedules Coordinate and manage resources for assigned projects

Stakeholder Engagement:
• Facilitate appropriate communications and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders, in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships
• Ability to interact with senior stakeholders
• Atkins Nuclear, now part of the SNC-Lavalin nuclear division has been operating for over 40 years with operations based in the Canada, UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America, and are fully engaged in the development of the next generation of nuclear power
• Our Middle East office, centered in Abu Dhabi, has become one of the largest nuclear consultancies across the region, and at the forefront of emerging nuclear power markets
• As a result of continued growth, we are looking to recruit a nuclear-experienced project manager to help our client(s) manage some very complex organizational and technical projects
• Initially, we are looking for individuals to be based in Abu Dhabi, at the clients’ site, and take a senior client facing role on a secondment basis, but alongside an Atkins/SNC-Lavalin team of professionals

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree
• Supplier to provide copy of degree translated in English, if required

Professional Certifications:
• PMP or other equivalent Project/Program Management qualification Project or Program Management Experience
• 4 years minimum of Project Management experience
• Previous experience of working within the Nuclear Industry required
• Supplier to provide detailed portfolio of relevant and/or similar projects delivered by the individual

Technical Skills:
• Proficient in English and excellent MS Office skills
• Supplier to provide qualification or evidence of the individual’s skills

Multi-cultural, multi-national:
• Able to operate in a multi-cultural, multi-national work environment
• 4 years minimum
• Able to work on site at Barakah and live in Ruwais, Sunday to Wednesday

Required Personal Attributes:
• Can obtain security clearance and Barakah site access pass
• Supplier to provide nationality and if any other security clearance is obtained, or ongoing for proposed individual

Key Deliverables:
• PM will deliver any work stream allocated them using the standard Nawah methodology and tools and will be supported by the Project Management Office, the Manager of Strategic Project.

General Competency:
• Proven track record of delivering tight deadlines, ability to bring structure to unstructured problems and situations
