Project Manager
The group maps out where we're going, what that means, and what it looks like. Our Research team analyses the industry so that we're never playing catch-up. Development translate strategies into plans and projects. In Corporate Development, it's more about the impact of strategies on our day-to-day running. And our Corporate Planning team creates strategy so that we're agile enough to respond in a fast-evolving industry.
Job Purpose
- Your role is to assist the delivery of the Dubai Airports Development Plan, managing the delivery of the projects/programmes from post business case through to entry into service and client handover
- As a Project Manager your task is planning and managing dedicated projects at DXB and DWC. You will also work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure their requirements are fully assessed for viability, capital efficiency, programme achievement, commercial return/output and thereafter incorporated into specific documentation.
- You are involved throughout the whole project delivery process, being the single point of contact and generating optimum value in the definition of solutions and ensuring the efficient execution of development activity. This includes but is not limited to project planning, design definition, schedule management and production, review and audit, progress monitoring, cost management, practical completion and entry into service activities. A key relationship will be between the PM and the design and delivery subject matter experts (SME). This will include (but not limited to) construction, technology and process design projects.
- A key purpose of the PM role is to be the focal point and area of expertise for stakeholder engagement and resolution of day to day actions arising as a result of the project and to professionally represent Dubai Airports in their day to day assignments.
Requirements
Qualification
- You shall be educated in project management.
- A project management qualification such as PMP or PGMT would be considered advantageous.
Experience / Skills
- You should have at least 5-8 year's project formulation in an aviation / transportation development role.
- Experience of managing deliverables through a senior level team
- In-depth understanding of concept development and subsequent detailed involvement at all project stages from design through procurement, and client handover. A thorough understanding of business case production, financial reporting and assessment and project scheduling are required. Previous experience of Project Management in a capacity constrained environment is essential.
- Highly-developed management and negotiation skills in a stakeholder driven environment.
- Strong commercial astuteness and understanding of the business process, supply chain management, procurement and project finance
- Standard project management methodologies such as PMI and PRINCE2
