Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Manager for Iraq Operations with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas Industry to be based in Dubai, UAE

- Provide our customer with an excellent service, through safe delivery of project targets and contractual obligations - this will be achieved by strong leadership in the all aspects of Project Management which will result in positive customer feedback and satisfaction
- Delivery of Project Portfolio Performance with respect to Safety, Schedule, Cost and Quality Targets
- Driving a culture of zero defects - Right First Time
- Strict Compliance with Project Procedures
- Work Order Requests and Proposals Management - Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality, Resource, Communication, Risk, Procurement and Stakeholder Management
- Schedule and Cost Forecast Management
- Provision of information to support project reporting
- Coach and Mentor Project Managers and Project Engineers under sphere of influence
- Performance against KPIs associated with project delivery
- Effective Relationship Management with the Customer
- Direct personnel responsible for HSE, quality, engineering, procurement, construction, planning, estimating and cost control, information management and resourcing
- Effective Project Team building
- Effective Change Management
- Accurate Reporting across the project portfolio
- Ensure Wood Management System and appropriate project procedures are utilised throughout the project life cycle
- Ensure Accuracy of project Schedule and Accuracy of project cost reports
- Ensure Change Management process is rigorously and effectively implemented
- Risk Register and Risk Action Plans are updated and manged to minimise threats and maximise opportunities throughout the project life cycle
- Input into key Project Documents and reports including Weekly project dashboards, Procurement Status reporting, Functional Progress Reports, Manpower Projection Plan, Project Change Register, Cost Reports and Project Completion Forecasts
- Review Project documents weekly and action appropriately to include All Exception Reports eg. Cost, Planning, Document Control, Subcontracts, Contracts, Document Registers, Inspection & Expediting reports, Manhour and timesheet reports and Scheduled milestones
- Assist in the Development of the Project Charter
- Assist in the development of the Project Execution/Management Plan
- Undertake Lessons Learned at appropriate stages during the project life cycle, e.g engineering complete, procurement complete etc
- Client relationship through maintaining close contact with respective Clients throughout the project to ensure satisfactory reaction to Client's needs or criticisms
- The monitoring and control of project performance against budget, schedule, and quality and safety requirements using appropriate control tools and techniques
- Preparation of weekly dashboards, project progress and input into cost reports
- Effective change management ensuring that potential variations and subsequent requests are raised timely to allow the client full visibility
- Promote HSSE, quality and a Zero Defects Culture on the project
- Maintain and promote a safe working environment and demonstrate correct HSE behaviours and leadership
- Forecasting of cost/value reporting on projects is undertaken in accordance with policies and procedures

Requirements

Skills / Qualifications
- Degree qualification, preferably in an Engineering discipline
- Proven experience of project managing on large onshore brownfield projects
- Minimum of 20 years' experience in the oil and gas industries
- Demonstrable success at delivering a Schedule Driven Project
- Track record of delivering a project of this complexity and scale both in terms of Dollars and number of Engineers
- Strong leadership skills and a track record of Drive
- Significant multiple asset delivery management experience
- Proven experience in delivering tight margin, low non-recoverability portfolio
