Reporting to: Senior Program Manager

The Project Manager will carry out the execution of a large-scale Programme on corporate integrity in the Gulf Region. The role sits within the Programme department of the Pearl Initiative and directly reports to the Programme Manager. The ideal candidate has a very strong interest in topics around corporate accountability, integrity and transparency.

The Project Manager is responsible for driving the Integrity Programme, including:
- Devise and build the methodology for an assessment of companies based on their governance, integrity and sustainability practice implementation, develop the data collection and verification system, and execute the company analysis and process for measuring progress
- Build a network of taskforce participants and engage and persuade businesses to take part in the Integrity Programme
- Reach out to companies and business leaders in the region to gather information for the voluntary company assessments.
- Identify, negotiate, reach agreement and work with freelance programme resource required in areas such as training delivery, report design and translation
- Liaise with universities across the GCC region to deliver student competitions and education seminars
- Design, develop and write major case studies and thought leadership reports
- Collect, summarise and disseminate third party articles, publications, reports, guidelines, news and initiatives from around the region in the areas of transparency, accountability, corporate governance and responsible business practices
- Work closely with the events team to manage the design, development, planning, negotiation, execution and delivery of all round-table, forum and training events

Probation: 6 months
Working Hours: Sun-Thurs 8:00-4:00
Travel requirements: Occasional Travel within GCC
Desired start date: 01 September 2016

The role will be based in Pearl Initiative’s offices on the campus of the American University of Sharjah.

Requirements

- A University degree
- At least 5 to 7 years of experience
- Advanced large-scale project management skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Excellent report structuring and writing skills
- Excellent networking and community building skills
- Understanding of governance and accountability business practices in the Middle East
- Business-focused research, data collection and analysis skills
- The creativity to optimise the use of a variety of online and offline communication tools and media channels
- Self-driven, motivated and flexible
- Highly competent in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
