Hyde Hotels, Resorts & Residences, part of the world-leading Accor group; opened the first Hyde hotel outside of the United States, Hyde Dubai Business Bay, in close proximity to the iconic Burj Khalifa directly fronting the Business Bay canal and promenade.

Hyde Hotel Dubai Business Bay, a five-star hotel, opened their doors in Q4 2021. The 276-rooms, all with balconies, is a mix of gracious standard rooms and luxurious suites with views of the Dubai Canal, the Dubai skyline and the iconic Burj Khalifa - the tallest building in the world.

Hyde Hotel Dubai will feature three incredible culinary experiences including the Mediterranean concept, Cleo MediterrĂ¡neo, contemporary Japanese from Katsuya, hand-crafted burgers from Hudson Tavern. Also on the property is The Perq, a coffee concept, a lobby lounge, and Hyde pool & lounge as well as a spa, male/female salon, fitness center, a swimming pool and retail area. The hotel's public areas, guestrooms and Cleo was designed by Ciarmoli Queda Studio. Katsuya, Hudson Tavern and Hyde pool and lounge designed by Tristan Plessis Studio.

The Position

To ensure timely and accurate accountability of all daily revenues received by the Hotel; ensure compliance of operational procedures; maintain subsidiary records of various General Ledger Accounts to provide detailed analysis for audit and tax purposes.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Respect the policies and procedures implemented on the process of procurement.
- Support and encourage the objective of cost control and maintain traces for audit.
- Obtains quotations and completes market surveys to ensure high quality products for the best prices to update the Assistant Purchasing Manager.
- Assist the Assistant Purchasing Manager in negotiations.
- In absence of Assistant Purchasing Manager, places purchase orders and ensure delivery of supplies and equipment to the hotel respecting the deadlines.
- Maintains equipment and supplies catalogues and an inventory of various products in the market to be able to provide immediate service to colleagues.
- Ensures all purchases are streamlined and there is maximum savings where possible without sacrificing on quality.
- Liaises closely with the Executive Chef to ensure food purchases are delivered on timely and to the quality standard specified.
- To assist in carrying out quarterly, bi-yearly, yearly inventory of operating equipment.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department appearance standards.
- To provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
- To maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments.
- To read and understand the hotel's Employee Handbook and to adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
- To comply with local legislation as required.
- To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel.
- To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
- To attend training and meetings as and when required.

Requirements

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
- Oral and written fluency in English
- Physically fit
- Neat appearance
- Displays initiative and good follow-up skills
- Team player
- Customer/people oriented

QUALIFICATIONS

- Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
- Hands on Experience with Purchasing Software, especially FutureLog Material Controls
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office mainly EXCEL.

EXPERIENCE

- Minimum of 2 -3 years experience with at least 1 year experience in a similar capacity in a hotel
