Qs Estimator - Interior Fitout

Job description / Role

We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor Estimator with experience in interior fitout projects to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately quantifying, estimating the costs of interior fitout projects, analyzing blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. You will play a key role in ensuring that our projects are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to quantify, prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for interior fitout projects.
- Conduct site visits and collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary data for accurate estimation.
- Prepare and submit detailed and competitive bids to potential clients.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to obtain competitive prices for materials and equipment.
- Evaluate and analyze quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- Monitor and track project costs and budgets, providing regular updates to the project team.
- Participate in value engineering and cost optimization exercises to maximize project profitability.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of all estimates, bids, and cost data.
- Stay updated with industry trends, materials costs, and labor rates to ensure accurate estimations.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor Estimator in the interior fitout industry.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
