Quantity Surveyor - Interior Fitouts / Joinery
Salary: up to AED 17,000 based on Experience
Location: Dubai
Our Client is on of the leaders in Interior Design, Manufacturing and Contracting in the UAE.
Established more that 30 years ago, they are well known in the market for high quality iconic projects and a vast portfolio, providing a turnkey service tailor made to their clients expectations.
Due to their continuous growth in the Middle Eastern Market we are seeking a highly talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor in Post Contracts to join the team.
The Key role is to focus on the project's costs from the planning and design stage through to construction and completion.
Responsibilities
• Preparation of contract documentation
• Periodic valuations of the work in progress to evaluate contractors' stage payments
• Monthly financial report
• Monitor costs against budget
• Valuation and agreement of costs of variations
• Financial advice throughout the project
• Liaison with funders
• Preparation and settlement of the Final Account
• Preparation of specifications when required so to do.
• Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
• Assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
• Performing risk and value management and cost control.
• Advising on procurement strategy.
• Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks.
• Allocating work to subcontractors.
• Providing advice on contractual claims.
• Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports.
• Valuing completed work and arranging payments.
• Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
• Providing post-occupancy advice, facilities management services and life cycle costing advice.
Requirements
• Bachelors degree in Surveying or Higher education
• Minimum of 5 years experience with the construction industry
• Accreditation from an International recognised Institute of Surveyors would be an advantage
• Experience in Pre and Post Contracts would be an advantage
• Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
• High level of numeracy
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
