Radiology Assistant Professor

Job description / Role

Assistant Professors needed for the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiology to make a significant contribution to all activities of the organizational unit and interdisciplinary area and to play a significant role within the profession and discipline.

Candidates will be required to deliver lectures and supervise students during their clinical practice and research activities according to the study plans in the RMI curriculum, Keep abreast of developments in the field, plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction. Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate or graduate students on topics such as Radiographic Anatomy, Radiologic Pathology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Physics, CT, US, and MRI.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate or graduate students on related topics
- Supervise student laboratory and clinical work
- Evaluate and grade student class work, laboratory and clinic work, assignments and papers
- Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues and participating in professional conferences
- Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction
- Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and hand-outs
- Initiate, facilitate and moderate classroom discussions

Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Medical Imaging/Radiology is required
- Master in Radiology
- Bachelor of Science/Radiology
- Equivalency is required from the UAE Ministry of Higher Education after joining
- Registration in Home Country Professional Registering Body is a must

Requirements

Required Experience:
- Three (3) years teaching experience as a minimum
- Five (5) years practical experience
- 7 Scholarly Publications
- Demonstrated success working within a high performing educational institution
- Excellent English skills and could pass an IELTS score of no less than 7
- Excellent computer literacy

Monthly Salary Range:
- TAX FREE monthly salary of AED 13,694 - 15,504 depending on qualifications, years of experience, publications

Housing:
- First 29 days employee stays in a hotel suite. Housing Allowance provided as follows for employee to find accommodation (Help will be given):
- 8,320 to 13,000 AED monthly depending on marital status, location and position

Health Insurance Coverage:
- For employee & family (spouse and up to 3 dependents)

Annual Air Tickets:
- For employee & family (spouse and up to 3 dependents)
- Repatriation Ticket Allowance : for the employee & family (spouse and up to 3 dependents)
- Mobilization package : Relocation ticket to the UAE for the employee & family (spouse and up to 3 dependents).
- AED 20,000 - relocation allowance upon joining (half upon arrival and half after 3 month probation period)

Leave:
- Approximately 2 months summer holidays, plus national holidays and term breaks

Dependent School Fees:
- AED 80,000/- per annum per family (maximum AED 40,000 per child) For dependents attending schools in the UAE

Visa & Medical Check Fees:
- Residence Visa costs covered for employee only
- Employee is responsible for Visa costs of dependents

End Of Service Benefit:
- Employee is eligible for a gratuity calculated as Basic Salary times the number of years employed, as per labour law of country
- Relocation tickets for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependents

Contract Period:
- Open Contract - renewable yearly

Location:
- UAE, Al Ain

Paperwork Requirements:
- Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements

Start Date:
- September 2024
