Job description / Role
Salary circa $25,000 per month.
Red Kite – Middle East currently have an exception opportunity for an experienced Refinery General Manager for a currently expanding oil refinery in Iraq.
The Refinery General Manager will hold ultimate responsibility for all refinery operations and expenditure with an operating budget in the tens of millions of dollars. This position reports directly into the Board of Directors and will involve regular communication on refinery affairs.
All key business department heads will be direct reports, including Technical Services, Engineering, Operations, HSE and Procurement. Responsible for short and long term strategy for refinery operations, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of increasing refinery efficiency and profitability.
As the refinery is currently undergoing a major multi-stage expansion project, prior experience of overseeing such a project is beneficial.
Requirements
Our client is looking for a Refinery Manager with extensive knowledge of refinery operations there for candidates with hands on experience who have risen through the ranks are preferred.
Implementing new technologies and processes to ensure growth and continued and successful growth of the business.
Red Kite – Middle East are looking for candidates with the following:
- Degree educated in engineering based discipline (Further study is preferable)
- 20+ years of petrochemical/refinery experience covering all aspects of refinery operations
- 10+ years of experience in a senior management position
- Proven ability to manage and oversee multiple business units ensuring cross-discipline communication and cooperation in order to achieve wider business goals
