LOCATION: NME HO, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
REPORTS TO: Regional Business Head – Infant Nutrition MENA

Main Purpose of Job:
Overall responsibility for 'relation creating initiatives/activities' amongst key government departments, representatives of WHO and other concerned UN agencies, opinion leaders and relevant external stakeholders (medical associations, industrial associations, etc.) in order to communicate on issues of importance for our Infant Nutrition business & code related matters.

Major Responsibilities:
- Actively lobby in all countries of the Region in order to get balanced local codes in line with the WHO guidelines and industry-friendly regulations and standards relevant to infant nutrition products.
- Encourage governments to set up relevant monitoring bodies as regards their local code or WHO Code.
- Become the key Nestlé liaison person with Regional and local offices of WHO, FAO, and other relevant UN agencies such as UNAIDS, UNICEF, UNDP, and be seen as the knowledge partner in order to develop a good reputation amongst key WHO and other relevant UN officials.
- Assist with ensuring in all countries the implementation of the WHO Code and related matters, with the Nestlé Instructions as the guideline. Ensure effective implementation of local WHO Code Management System in every country. Updating of WCMs as and when required.
- Handle, as required, PA requirements of Nestlé Nutrition MENA Region, together with Nestlé local teams (Country Managers, NN staff) on code related matters.
- Together with NiM training & Development, Sales Training & PDM responsible to provide training to all employees on WHO, local codes and WCMs.
- Define the strategy for Nestlé Nutrition PA activities with the Region (role of regional/country NN staff, Market Head, Country Managers, Regulatory Affairs Managers, the Centre, etc.).
- Support markets to manage issues/crises as and when they arise on code related matters.
- Lead, train and develop the next generation / team of NN PA & Code Compliance potential staff in order to establish real lobbying skills throughout the Region.
- Issue clarification on grey areas and legal opinions.
- Manages and Coordinates in the market readiness for internal and external (FTSE4Good) audits.

Requirements

- Minimum 10 years extensive experience in dealing with key government departments and international organizations across the region to foster harmonious relations and communicate important issues on Infant Nutrition business
- Has regional experience and travel extensively (25-30% of time) in visiting Regional markets
- Managed independently under challenging/demanding market environments and political scenes to achieve and exceed goals
- Has experience of managing teams across markets
- Experience in Local legislative processes
