Our client is part of a unique and historic partnership project between two Countries which is unprecedented. The project, the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi, establishes a long and solid relationship and will create one of the greatest attractions in the UAE and contemporary world. The project is a collaboration between France and Abu Dhabi, one of discovery, exchange and education, playing an important social role within the UAE and play an important part in developing the future history of the region.

They are currently looking for Registrar (Unit Head level) to join the museum team. In this role you will be managing the movement and organization of Museum works of art, including accurate record keeping and tracking of all Museum objects in a collection management database. You will supervise administrative and logistics aspects of transporting and tracking works of art within, to and from the Louvre Abu Dhabi museum, including the implementation and compliance of risk management policies and procedures.

You will liaise with external entities, including i.e. other museums, donors, institutional and private lenders, shippers and craters, insurance providers, custom brokers and the general public. You will be also accountable for team management, performance and training.

Requirements

- You must hold a degree in Art History, Museum Studies or closely related and proven record of art museum registration, with collection and supervisory experience.
- You shall be able to demonstrate experience in managing relocation, storage, preparation and display of collection artworks.
- You shall previous experience in managing administrative, logistic, and financial data and business processes, international packing, shipping and budgeting experience required.
- English fluency is crucial, Arabic and French are a plus
