One of the ways they do this is through their global project tracking database, EICDataStream, which tracks almost 9,000 active and future projects and is maintained by their sector analysts.
The EIC is now recruiting for a Research Analyst to join the Middle East office in Dubai. Their analysts play a crucial role in ensuring that their database keeps members up to date on energy projects around the world, from feasibility through to construction and completion.

This means that the successful candidate will need to have a keen interest in the Energy sector and also possess excellent research and analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail and proficient in Data entry and coordination

Your main duty is to support the Head’s of Power, Nuclear and Renewables / Oil and gas and the Dubai Regional Analyst in the delivery of EICDataStream and other related Market Intelligence products.

Duties and responsibilities
• Maintain and improve the information relating to Oil and Gas and Power, Nuclear and Renewables Projects that are tracked in EICDataStream for the Middle East Region. This will include identifying gaps in data and ensuring that all projects in the sector are up to date.
• To support the Regional Analyst – MENA in compiling and updating data for reports and presentations.
• Provide cover for the Regional Analyst MENA on DS work, when the individual is on annual leave.
• Assist in the preparation of general information and graphical data for EIC publications.
• Deal with routine Member enquiries relating to EICDataStream.
• Attend where appropriate, and within the budget disciplines, seminars, conferences and workshops.
• Regularly review the status of the database, its functionality and information content. Propose improvements and changes to the functionality of the database system that would enhance the EICDataStream product.
• Collate information on all existing producing energy assets within the region and add details to the OPEX database

Requirements

• Fresh Graduate or 1 to 2 years experience will be considered
• Candidates on Spouse or Parent sponsorship is preferred
• Some knowledge and interest in the Energy Sector preferably in the Middle East Region
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written abilities
• High level of team work and self-motivated
• Excellent skills in IT issues and functional software packages
• Ability to work on complex data bases
• Possess above average planning and organising skills
• Results oriented
• Proven ability to use multiple sources of information and process accordingly
